With over 115 years of scale manufacturing experience, we have the knowledge and infrastructure to provide a swift and comprehensive scales servicing facility. We provide a fully comprehensive service for all our scale models, both Reuben Heaton and own branded versions, ensuring that your customers are well looked after. Scales should be accompanied by paperwork containing your name/company name, details of work to be carried out, contact number and returns address. Servicing will normally be completed within 2 – 3 working days of us receiving your scale. If you require you scales to be serviced and returned by a specific date, please note this in your accompanying letter and allow adequate time for the service and transit time of your parcel. We also advise when taking your parcel to any UK Post Office ensure you obtain a receipt for proof of postage, or equivalent documentation in your country. Also we recommend you use a delivery method that insures you for the value of the scales.

Payment

Non-account customers will be contacted for payment on completion of work carried out. Payment can be made by credit/debit card. PayPal is also available on request. If you wish to pay by cheque please enclose it in your parcel and make the cheque payable to Reuben Heaton Ltd. Please note that cheque payments will require funds to clear before scales are sent back.

Calibration

As a manufacturer, Reuben Heaton Ltd offers a fully comprehensive on site calibration facility for all our scale products including full inspection, calibration and certificate of conformity if required. To maintain the highest industry standards, we follow recognised codes of practice for the calibration and recalibration of non-automatic weighing instruments with calibration to tolerances as specified in Directive 2014/32 for non-automatic weighing instruments (Class IV) using M1 class weights. All materials used in the construction of our scales conform to the relevant British BS/European Norm EN Standards.

 

We pride ourselves in being able to meet the most exacting of technical standards required to meet metrology industry standards for excellence, consistency and performance. From component to sub assembly and final assembly, each set of Reuben Heaton scales passes through several inspection and performance tests, designed to maintain high levels of consistency and reliability.

Warranty

All Reuben Heaton products are guaranteed against any manufacturing or material defects for 12 months from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, lack of maintenance or normal wear and tear. Warranty claims, along with the proof of original purchase, should be marked for the attention of Customer Services.

Returns Policy

All representations or notifications regarding goods the Customer wishes to return to us for any reason other than damage or shortage in delivery must be submitted within 14 days in writing. Verbal notifications or written notifications given to staff in the field will not be accepted as being properly received by us. No deduction in the payment of invoices may be made for goods returned to us until we have issued a Credit Note to the Customer. Returned goods should be accompanied by a letter giving an explanation as to why the goods are being returned and any faults in the goods. Be accompanied wherever possible with the Company’s invoice number or delivery note or date of purchase. Goods are returned to us at the Owner’s risk and the Customer is responsible for insurance in transit. Goods being returned without full details will be left until there is time to action them. The Company reserves the right to levy a re-warehousing charge of 15% of the price of any goods returned to us at our discretion (or substantially more if the goods are marked, substandard or damaged in any way). When goods are returned to us they must be in ‘as new’ condition in full packs and without price tags etc.
